With that being said, there may be confusion for some people as to why victims all of a sudden, are “just now speaking out” about their sexual abuse claims from the past. So, do me a favor and shut up and just LISTEN!
I’m a survivor of child sexual abuse, and every survivor has a direct and explicit story. The energy that encompasses sexual abuse is draining, wicked, and low, I soon found out. I also very quickly realized if I wanted to overcome my trauma, healing would be my primary focus. This does not happen overnight. Therefore, there isn't a right or wrong way to talk about what has been hidden from our family and friends! We hold on to such secrets to protect the people around us until we find the courage to talk about it. It may be because our parents have their own separate on-going, unresolved issues, leaving it difficult to communicate with them. Being honest with myself, I have to admit, was one of the most unfavorable transformations that I had to face in my life thus far. The incredulity around survivors of sexual abuse will not be accepted as long as I am here!! I will not tolerate your idealism on what it's like to be a SURVIVOR of sexual abuse if you haven’t experienced this trauma yourself firsthand! 1) Survivors of sexual abuse won't need an “I’m sorry” reply from you. 2) We have become proficient in self-love and self-care! Because we place ourselves first. 3) We have developed the ability to turn away from the indulgence in drugs, alcohol, and all other forms of addiction. 4) We know how to recognize all manifestations of abuse within both children and adults because of our own experience with abuse or neglect! For the people who are still in denial about what has been replaying on the nightly news channel about the on-going sexual abuse allegations- According to adult retrospective studies, 1 and 4 women and 1 and 6 men were sexually abused before the age of 18. This means there are more than 42million adult survivors of child sexual abuse in the U.S. 73% of child victims do not tell anyone about the abuse for at least one year. 45% do not tell anyone for at least 5 years. Some disclose never- children of every gender, race, ethnicity, background, social-economic status and family structure are at risk. No child is immune. Fear is not something we cannot hide or ignore immediately. We should interfere in other's business to see whether what they would be their reactions towards a given situation. I can see that those abused ones were brave enough now that is why they made a stand. I really hope that they would receive their proper comforts and release their terrifying pasts and would start a new one. I am really proud of those survivors who still fight in spite of what they have experienced.

Indeed. The first step away from fear is to speak out & to take back the power that had been depleted. Healing from these traumas could be worked through by first, actually wanting to heal, awareness, support groups, counseling. It is never okay to suffer alone.
