“I am the stronghold, for it belongs to me” One might not be open to receiving guidance from a support system due to an outdated awareness of their own capabilities, or a lack of understanding of what kind of system truly suits their uniqueness. Yet, most of us know that there is more than one road to contentment, and there is always room for additional enlightenment in life. Thankfully, in today’s information age, we are more inclined to uncover new-age tools that one may choose to apply for their own necessary growth and life skills today. Depending on your personal support needs, I discovered from my own experiences a host of ways to reinforce a dynamic support system during a time when I had felt the most isolated and unsupported. With that challenge behind me in the clear past, I am pleased to have come across an empowering support system which I gleefully lead to suit my unique lifestyle still today. Online Community Support Online community support groups have every form of support that one can ever think of. For instance, you can find support for health issues, family, phobias, addictions, and so on. I utilize online communities the most because of their convenience and anonymity, but if one hasdisability, this could be a good fit as well because you don’t have to leave home. Seek online chat rooms, blogs, email lists, forums, or groups that have their own profiles on social media. Begin to perform an online search using keywords that include names of specialized groups. Next, visit the websites to find links to forums and similar online communities. Read through the content to measure the level of support provided by the other members and to verify that it is active and current. It is always a good idea to join more than one online community support group. This way, one will find the group that is the most helpful. Just like anywhere else, practice discernment when sharing information about yourself online, such as your telephone number, name, and other personal details. With that being said, do not participate in communities that encourage you to stop any treatments instructed by a professional, pressure you to purchase products or services, or judge your choices in life. Links for Online Support Group Forums:
I would define a support group as a group of people with common experiences or concerns who provide each other with encouragement, comfort, advice, coping strategies, or firsthand information. A person’s relationship with their doctor or other medical personnel may not provide adequate emotional support, or their family and friends may not understand the impact of the individual’s condition, which is a sign to seek support elsewhere. Participating in a group provides you with an opportunity to be with people who are likely to have a common purpose and understand one another. Other added benefits of support groups include:
The support group’s format may vary from face-to-face meetings to teleconferences. A layperson—someone who shares a common experience—often leads the group, but it can also be led by a professional facilitator, such as a nurse or social worker. Most structures of these groups are from a nonprofit advocacy organization, clinic, hospital, community organizer, or independent of any organization and run entirely by group members. If the individual becomes dedicated to this type of support setting, it will supply educational opportunities in the form of guest speakers or discussions on a topic related to the group’s needs. Try it for a few weeks, and consider a different support group if not satisfied with the present one. One may begin to research support groups through a doctor, health practitioner, clinic, hospital, nonprofit organization, national institute of health websites, local county websites, or a general online keyword search. During this process, you should be aware of red flags that indicate a problem with a support group. For example, promises of a sure cure, high fees to attend the group, or pressure to buy products or services are all signs to stay away. Remember that support systems aren’t a substitute for regular checkups with a health professional. ***Clickable Link Resources Recharge & Support Group FB Support Group Support Group Announcements
Philosophers have conceded, however, that every man has two educations: that which is given to him, and the other that which he gives himself. Of the two kinds, the latter is by far the more desirable. Indeed, all that is most worthy in a man he must work out and conquer for himself. It is that which constitutes our real and best nourishment. What we are merely taught seldom nourishes the mind like that which we teach ourselves (Woodson, 1933). Becoming free from restriction should be an essential component of the overall mission for your education. Listed below are the representation of the important elements for you to sustain when applying an educational support system:
Begin by addressing what is the most important thing in you to transform. Remembering your unique way of learning, do not steer away from this skill. There are some individuals who study and learn by listening, reading, watching an educational video, and so forth. For example, I receive a subtle understanding through a practical sense (bookworm), observation, and writing, which does take much patience. This, too, is where I receive a higher absorption of knowledge—which is for another blog post. By Clicking Here you can become more adherent to why it is that an Educational Support system can improve any imbalance: "Reflections of You"
Each individual has a spiritual nature; it is part of and affects every aspect of the whole person. Spiritual distress can be as agonizing as physical pain, and unfulfilled spiritual needs hinder progress. A spiritual support system doesn’t have to be difficult or intimidating. By applying simple concepts, one can become more effective with daily spiritual interventions. Spiritual care promotes quality of life, which benefits the whole person and elevates all aspects of health and healing. Meditation is one of the most powerful ways to develop your spirituality. The oldest aboriginal culture of the earth used meditation as a tool for spiritual purification, just as every religion uses meditation for spiritual development still today. Your body and spirit are connected; therefore, the foods you eat have a direct impact on your spiritual strength and progress. Eating consciously means to consume foods and drinks in ways that express your self-love and empower your spiritual ability to accomplish things in your physical world. By eating consciously and meditating, you can begin to develop your spiritual support system faster than with outside ideologies. It is possible for you to build a spiritual support system without religion. But to do so, you must take responsibility for your own education and growth.
