Disclaimer: Let’s Begin with the Affirmation for Week 25 ! For all one knows, I may find how my truths are being constantly challenged by others & even by myself. It has been burdensome to trust anything outside of myself or any beliefs because I have witnessed so much contradictions of what truth is throughout my life. It could be that I may have been told that sexual abuse occurs often & that I should just get over it. In order to disclose some sense of security, I may have decided to refuse my truths in order to survive. When I continue to engage myself with healing from child sexual abuse, periods of confusion can be expressed when I am unsure by the acts of my short childhood. Yet, there is strong presence inside that will alert me when to question someone else’s behavior or statement towards me. I am not scared today, therefore, will discover & command my truth & source of power within me. The most important lesson is not to consider someone else’s belief as my own but instead develop the courage to trust myself foremost. My child-within rely substantially that I will trust & champion her-no matter what. This is an act of courage to stand up for what is truth-even when I am discouraged. No one stood up for me as a child. Now I can do this myself.
