"Try Organic Food...or as your Grandparents called it, FOOD."
~Reality in Balance
Natural, whole, or organic food's connection to health and wellness can be easy for us to relate. As with all organic foods, none are grown or handled using genetically modified organisms, which are prohibited in USDA organic standards. GMO is the engineering of a microorganism to synthesize its properties, altering its natural process and sustainability- otherwise, grown in lab space.
USDA organic regulations are grown and processed foods according to federal guidelines: soil quality, pesticide and weed control, animal raising practices, and use of additives. USDA ORGANIC PRODUCE: Before harvest season, organic produce entails that there are no prohibited substances grown on soil for three years. The difference between organic and conventional produce is the number of pesticides used to defend against insects while the plant is in the growing stage. |
While packaged foods are popular today, Dr. LLaila O. Afrika states that “contemporary junk food and fast food diet is based upon denatured, highly refined, processed, genetically altered and synthetically chemicalized, non-foods.” It has zero nutritional value.
