Our environment can affect the things that we are sometimes unaware of. What stands out the most to me is the people surrounding us who have our back…. It takes a village to raise a child, right? We are more trusting of others & better with a community of support that surrounds us. When I decided to begin my recovery as a child sexual abuse survivor, it wasn’t long before I decided to find Support during the processes of healing. If a Supportive Community doesn’t exist, you can create it. My first discussion as a group is a challenge for anyone to list & identify the support networks that may already be established & aim to discover others that may be out of your comfort range. What kinds of Support System can you identify in your own Life? List the most apparent ones as well as some that might be obscure. Professional mentors are a great source of Support that is frequently overlooked. A Support Team is extremely necessary. You will be surprised.
