“The market is a traditional place of power for women. The stock, commodity, money, or fruit markets are but extensions of the life-giving function of a woman’s breasts.” -Martinie/Glassman
So, let’s get into the primary aspects of III Ayizan, represented in The New Orleans Voodoo Tarot! Whenever this voodoo tarot card appears, I’ll feel either one of the two ways leading me towards a significant and transitional change; 1) A new way of seeing through a higher level of awareness, or 2) the need to purify for this next level of consciousness.
Ayizan is the most ancient loa. She is known as Queen of the Marketplace, Spirit of Initiation, and Lwa of primordial ancestors. Refer to her as Mambo or Manbo Ayizan because she must be treated with the utmost respect! Her name may mean "sacred earth" in her duties of the realm.
