Let’s Begin with the Affirmation for Week 39!
“I AM SAFE”
Oh, how endowed by delight I am in today! As an adult, I aware that I Am Safe due to sustained courage over time. As a child, there were imprinted distortions surrounding my sexual abuse of course. The complexity of it all began with a resentment of feeling unprotected, which stood out the most.
I may have managed to remain “hidden” in the sight of other people, as a means to unconsciously protect and control my environments. In my relationships “safeguarding” became a natural instinct in order to hide the ills of my past as a child of sexual abuse. Today, I search for the safety that was first instilled within me already.
|
I Am Safe with the powerful utilization of my own audible voice as well! I do not have to dwell with the pains or shame of sexual abuse. I Am Safe to talk about it, research it, learn or grow from it. I know that this will take time and will require much patience and tolerance of myself. I Am Safe and feel renewed each time that I think of this shielded guidance. As a sexual abuse survivor, a peace of mind is discovered on a path free from restrictions. I will maneuver each direction knowing that I Am Safe. |
No matter where you are right now on your journey as a sexual abuse survivor, remember that there is more to you than what the eye may perceive of the self at this time. You are a Survivor-Stay in action on your healing journey every day and meditate on these concepts, “I Am Safe.”
